H&M … Hit and Miss?

You may remember H&M from such memorable collaborations as Lanvin ♥ H&M and M by Madonna, but the Swedish giant has taken a new direction by announcing an exclusively online plus-size capsule collection called Inclusive due in early March. The 20 piece range will be available in sizes 32-54 (that’s Swedish for 6/8-24) and includes floral prints, polka dots, flirty 50's style party dresses and skirts, cardigans, tops and lingerie. The catch? It’s only available to Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Maybe not so inclusive? Thoughts?

What? I can't believe those beautiful things won't be stocked in Singapore. I think we all need some of these lovelies in our wardrobes. I love that skirt in the top left section!

The collection looks good, the fact that its only available in selected countries SUCKS. I might be able to understand the reluctance to stock the range in certain countries if plus size clothing was a brand new venture, but the BiB range has been around for years and years and years. Not only that, but it has LONG been in need of an overhall as its bland, boring and shapeless. This very limited availability just makes me want to turn my back on H&M altogether and give them the finger.

I haven't checked it out for Europe but in the US there are a few companies that allow you to register a local US address. When you buy, you nominate that registered address as your shipping address, and they collect your delivery then on-ship it to you.

This is great for purchases from suppliers or companies who don't ship outside of the US, and I know a few people who use them.

As I said, I haven't investigated this for Europe, but if anyone's interested I'm sure a google search would bring up something workable.

I love the line and think it looks gorgeous and adorable, but the no-shipping-to-US SUCKS. I, for one, would have bought a ton of items. Word on the street though, is that they will start H&M Online for the US in 2012!

Till then, I guess I'll need to ask my Swedish blogger friends to purchase for me!

Just saw the Morning Show and was wondering if you have a store in Brisbane? Love the black dresses.
